President's Corner - September 2001

As we make our final plans for this year's reunion, I look back over the past two years and try to remember what has happened! Too much to say the least; I can sum it all up and say we are getting more involved with AIA, doing more dedications, and participating more in the many social events sponsored by the FTVA.
We moved into new spaces thanks to the Security Service Credit Union, and to them - Dave Reynolds, Bob Sherwood et all, -- thank you for all your outstanding support and contributions to the FTVA.

This year we will have a new FTVA administration and to the incoming President, I wish you and the members of your board the best for the next two years. Since this will be my last "President's Corner," I thank the Board for all their support and their continuing efforts to support the troops. Efforts such as the Grant Program will continue and I do believe we are heading in the right direction in that arena.

I especially want to thank Lou Rocha the Board's outgoing Secretary for his superb and outstanding support in keeping me in line on many Association matters. Lou, you were my right hand and my left, and I am very fortunate to have had you as Secretary for the Association, many many thanks!

Bob Baert you have the magic to make membership happen; we need that to continue.

I am looking forward to this year's reunion festivities and know it will be bigger and better than last year.
